Located
in the stunning scenery of the French Alps, L'Espace Killy combines the
ski ranges of Tignes and Val d'Isere and is considered to be the premier
ski resort in the world.
The glacier offers
skiing most days a year (which few others even attempt) and for eight
months a vertical drop of 1400 metres is maintained, with the aid of snow-making
if necessary.

Whatever
your preferred level of skiing, L'Espace Killy is sure to meet your needs.
For the beginner, there is an abundance of nursery slopes and excellent
ski-schools. The intermediate skier will enjoy the seemingly endless wide
open runs and even the most advanced skiers will find the area hard to
fault with its long, steep mogul fields and enormous off-piste area. The
resort has five different base areas, the main one being Val Claret with
Le Lac and Le Lavachet nearby. Lower down the mountain is Les Boisses
and a renovated old village Les Brevieres, at the lowest point in the
system - 1550 metres (higher than many ski areas end, but with 2000 metres
above it!)
There
is a comprehensive and well integrated system of chairlifts, telecabines
and funiculars which ensure that you are onto the ski areas with the minimum
of queuing, The system is being constantly enhanced and upgraded to offer
even better access to the areas.

Tignes itself
consists of three purpose built villages developed around a frozen
lake. There are a wide range of bars, restaurants and Nightclubs
to suit every taste with some of the better ones located reasonably
close to the apartments in la Lavachet.
